DELGA Chairman donates N2million, assures Legionnaires of Support at Armed Forces Remembrance Day Service

The Legionnaires in Degema Local Government Area (DELGA) have been assured of necessary support in appreciation for their dedicated service to Nigeria, Rivers State and DELGA in particular.

The assurance came from the Council Chairman, Hon. Dr. Agiriye Monima Harry, on January 12th, during a special Thanksgiving service held at St. James Anglican Church, Degema Consulate, to commemorate the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

Represented by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Amabara Ekine, the Chairman demonstrated his commitment by donating N2 million to support the Legionnaires in the LGA.

Responding to a request for financial support and consideration for inclusion in political appointments made on behalf of the Church by Rev. Hamilton G. Roberts, Hon. Ekine assured the Legionnaires that their requests would be conveyed to the Chairman for due consideration.

The service was attended by dignitaries, including the Deputy Leader of the Legislative Assembly, Hon. Garrick Idaeresin, and the Chairman of the Legionnaires in DELGA, Soye Duke, among others.
