The sudden demise of Mrs. Ogechi Blessing Agwu, the wife of the Publisher of Galaxy Newspaper Elyger Agwu, has been described has a rude shock according to a statement jointly signed yesterday, by Pastor Jerry Needam and Solomon Parakom, the Chairman and Secretary of the Caretaker Committee of Independent Newspaper Publishers Association of Rivers State, RIVPA.
The statement made available to members of the Association read: The Independent Newspaper Publishers Association of Rivers State, RIVPA, expresses sadness over the death of Mrs Ogechi Blessing Elyger Agwu, wife of the Publisher of Galaxy Newspaper, Elyger Agwu.
The sudden death of the wife of our member and colleague in the pen fraternity came with such a rude shock with no fore-knowledge of her ill-health.
“Our thoughts and prayers go to our dear friend and colleague, the Publisher of Galaxy Newspaper, Mr Elyger Agwu and the entire Agwu family at this grieving period.
May the Almighty God grant Mr. Elyger Agwu and family the fortitude to bear the loss and also grant his deceased wife eternal rest.
Burial arrangement as announced by the husband holds on November 20, 2021 at Ekoli Edda Autonomous Community, Afikpo South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. All RIVPA members and friends are enjoined to attend.
