Dakuku Peterside felicitates with Muslims on sallah

The Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dakuku Peterside has felicitated with Muslims across Nigeria on the celebration of Sallah.

Peterside called on Muslims to reflect on the significance of the occasion and continue to pray for the unity, peace and progress of the country.

He called on the Islamic adherents to use the Sallah celebrations to rededicate themselves to the ideals of brotherliness, sacrifice and compassion.

“I enjoin our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to pray for our country. The Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari is doing all it can to make Nigeria better. He needs your prayers and indeed that of all Nigerians.

“The relative peace enjoyed before, during and after the Sallah has been down to painstaking efforts by our security agencies and personnel. We must continue to pray for them too, as some of them have paid the ultimate sacrifice,” he stated.

The NIMASA boss called on Nigerians to promote religious tolerance, adding that such virtue would ensure peace across the country and enhance national development.

He commended Nigerians for their continued support for President Muhammadu Buhari, who he says is committed to the development and growth of the country through multifaceted policies, programmes and projects.

“President Buhari is committed to a better Nigeria and is working tirelessly with his team to make things better, he needs the support of all Nigerians too, through prayers, suggestions and ideas,” he stressed
