Two people are now feared dead and several houses burnt, following an attack by suspected cult members in Okwali Community in Khana Local Government Area in Rivers State.
The Chief Security Officer of the community Mr. Linus Dick said the incident occurred Friday night when two rival cult groups had a disagreement at a funeral ceremony. He further revealed that some members of the cult group had invaded the community in the early hours of Saturday burning down houses and unleashing mayhem.
In a related development over 300 residents of Sogho community in Khana Local Government Area have fled their homes and are now taking refuge in Tai Local Government Area following an attack on the community by suspected cult members last week resulting in the injury of one person and the destruction of several houses.
