Suspected cultists have invaded Aluu and Omagwa communities, in Ikwerre Local Government Area, killing about seventeen people, including two security personnel.
Africa Update gathered that the gunmen suspected to be members of a cult group carried out the attack about 8 p.m on Friday night, at Omueke, Omokiri,  Omochiolu,  Omoada communities in Aluu.
According to our sources, the cultists had ran into a team of the Joint Task Force (JTF), as they tried to escape through Omagwa.  The team engaged them in a gun battle  which left an Army officer and his naval colleague dead.
Residents now live in fear that there could be a reprisal attack.
