The 2022 budget christened budget of consolidation with a total estimate of 4.83 Billion Naira was given its first reading by the speaker of the State Assembly, Ikuinyi Owaji Ibani shortly after it was presented by Governor Nyesom Wike on the floor of the house.
Ikuinyi Ibani while commending Governor Wike for judiciously expending the state resources for the overall interest and development of the state, said prioritizing capital expenditure over recurrent expenditure on the 2022 appropriation bill shows that the state government was more interested in giving back to the system rather than taking from it.
The house adjourned sitting to Tuesday December 7, 2021.
