Court throws out Dasuki’s request

The  five-man panel of the Appeal court  led by Abdul Aboki on Wednesday, dismissed two suits of the  former national security adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki,  challenging his trial at the federal capital territory (FCT) high court, Abuja.

The appeal court had  upheld the earlier decision of the lower courts, which dismissed his applications on the grounds that he was still in custody because it was the DSS, and not the EFCC which is prosecuting him.

He  had filed the appeals against the judgment of two separate Abuja courts, which ordered his trial while in detention.

Dasuki was arrested by men of  the Department of State Services (DSS) after he fulfilled the conditions for bail granted by the lower courts, on the  charges of corruption brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
