Counsel to the former Chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Area, Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree, Mr. Ken Asuete has condemned the continuous incarceration of his client in Prison, when a plea had not been taken in the 2 count charge of conspiracy and murder of Mr. Smart Soberekon.
He had filed an objection yesterday, challenging the powers of the magistrate Court to order the remand of his client in prison custody, but the Chief Magistrate Israel Agbesor had defered hearing on the objection raised by Mr. Asuete till today and at the resumed hearing today, upheld that the suspect be kept in prison custody till May 4, until the necessary laws are applied.
Hon. Amachree was however not at the court today.
