Councillors accuse Wanosike of threat to life, call on Wike for help

Some Councillors in Ikwere Local Government Council in Rivers State, say their lives and those of their family are in danger.Calling on the state Governor, Nyesom Wike, security operatives and the leadership of the Peoples Democrat Party, PDP to come to their rescue, they alleged that the Council Chairman, Samuel wanosike, has allegedly threatened them because they demanded for explanation on the transaction carried out on behalf of the LGA.
Wali George representing Igwrutta ward 12, said he raised the issue of the illegal sale of the property to Access bank and said wanosike refused to give any explanation but rather threatened his life. He further stated that most of them have been banned from coming to the council. Meanwhile, the press secretary to the council chairman, Chris Omode, said the allegations are false and a plot to create confusion in the council and misinform the public
