Commuters along the Port Harourt /Bakana sea route have lost valuable items to suspected sea pirates yesterday.
Recounting his ordeal, a victim of the attack Mr. Johnny Braide said the sea pirates ambushed them on their way to Port Harcourt, early Saturday morning collecting their valuables; two female and one male passengers were also taken away by the sea pirates.
He said other passengers were lucky to have survived the attack which is very frequent along the sea route, and called on the Rivers State Government and Security agencies to urgently intervene and secure the release of the victims as well as the provision of adequate security for commuters using that route.
