The Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Rivers State and Chairman, NYCN forum of State Chairmen, Amb. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo and Chairman, Petroleum Tax Force, Rivers State, Hon. Kenneth Dan Opusingi, narrowly escaped death yesterday, when gunmen, alleged to be dreaded and notorious sea pirates attacked their boats.
The duo in company of several others were reportedly returning back to kula community, after attending the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Local Government Council primaries in Abonnema, headquarters of Akuku Toru Local Government Area, when the attack occurred.
Africa Update gathered that the pirates had opened fire on their boats, killing two persons while two others were whisked away.
Security operatives attached to the chairmen, overpowered the assailants leaving four others seriously injured .
