By-election: Rivers State Govt announces restriction of movement on Saturday

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has disclosed that vehicular movement will be restricted tomorrow during the Port Harcourt Constituency 3 by-election.

Speaking to  newsmen,  Wike said, “Accordingly, Rivers State Government has put adequate measures to ensure that the by-election is highly successful and the outcome generally acceptable .

“Part of such measures include the restriction of vehicular movement in the entire length and breath of Port Harcourt constituency 3 as well as the closure of the following roads and routes from 7am through 7pm on Saturday , 18th August 2018: from Agip junction Rumueme through ikwerre road and adjourning streets to olu obasanjo road and adjourning streets to UTC junction and adjourning streets in diobu areas in port Harcourt local government area.

“Consequently, I want all residents and visitors to comply with the restriction order, as relevant security agencies are under strict instructions to arrest and prosecute anyone caught violating this order, ” he asserted.
