Controversies surrounding the 2016 budget may soon be over as the executive and legislature have finally agreed on gray areas in the budget and have resolved to sign it in a few days.
Senate President Bukola Saraki said the leadership of the National Assembly was at the State House to discuss areas of conflict with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Reiterating that the decisions taken would be beneficial to Nigerians and rather than wait for weeks before the President’s assent, the process would be concluded in a few days.
Others at the meeting were Vice President Prof. Yemi Osibanjo and the Minister for Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma.
