Bridget Pemii becomes new President of NCWS Rivers State

Following an emergency Executive meeting by members of the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS), Rivers State Branch Mrs. Bridget Pemii, is now the new President.
Pemii, who was unanimously accepted by other Executive members, was prior to her elevation, the Vice President Rivers East Senatorial District.

Africa Update gathered that the position of the President became vacant sequel to a recent appointment of Princess Marian Tolofari to a higher Office and the provision of the constitution which states that in event of a vacuum the Vice President will automatically occupy the position of the President.

In her response, Pemii, promised to provide a people oriented leadership which would focus on eliminating challenges facing women.
Recall that Members of the State Executive were inaugurated by the amiable National President of NCWS, Dr. Mrs. Gloria Laraba Shoda mni, on the 19th December, 2021 in Port Harcourt.
