The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike has sacked the caretaker committee Chairmen of Akuku Toru Local Government Area, Mr. Tonye Alalibo and Ogu/Bolo local Government Area, Mrs. Daisy Tamunoene.
Our source revealed that the chairmen were said to have been sacked because they were not present to receive awards for their local government areas’ excellent performance in the boat regatta competition , which was part of the events to mark Rivers at 50.
 Africa Update gathered that Akuku-Toru Local Government Area clinched the first position while Ogu/Bolo emerged third .
