A former Nigerian senator who represented Katsina North Senatorial District of Katsina State, Senator Kanti Bello has died in the early hours of today, August 29, in Abuja.
Mahmud Kanti Bello, aged 72, was a former Nigerian senator who represented the People’s Democratic Party in the Katsina North Senatorial District of Katsina State, and was the Senate majority whip. He became a senator in 2003 and was reelected in 2007.
