A Port Harcourt High Court, presided over by Justice Margaret Okpara has rejected the bail request of former Asari Toru Local Government Chairman, Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree.
Delivering judgment today, on the bail application which was filed to enable Hon. Amachree receive medical care, Justice Okpara ruled that the medical reports from St. Patrick’s Hospital, in Ogbunabali, Port Harcourt and the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, did not reveal any life threatening ailment.
She further stated that the personal physician of the former council boss, should be given unhindered access, to enable him render medical care to Hon. Amachree, who she ordered should remain incaserated in prison custody during the duration of his trial for two count charge of conspiracy and murder of Mr. Smart Soberekon.
