The Bible Society of Nigeria Rivers/Bayelsa Area has salutes fathers in the two states as they celebrate Father’s Day. In a statement in Port Harcourt today, the Chairman of the Area, Elder Omoni Ayo-Tamuno describes Fathers as Commanders of their various families. Elder Ayo-Tamuno noted that this year’s celebration coupled with the challenges of COVID 19 has placed a huge burden or pressure on Fathers to play their divine roles. The Chairman called on Fathers in the face of obvious challenges to constantly look unto God to overcome their tasks. He also urged Fathers to always be closed to the Bible to guide and direct their part to righteous or right living with God and man. Elder Ayo-Tamuno, while congratulating Fathers of today, yesterday and tomorrow, prayed the Almighty God to grant Fathers His grace to be exemplary fathers at all times. He called on the two-state governors to create the necessary environment to enable Fathers to be able to cater for their families.
