Worshippers were stunned when the Senior Pastor and founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, shared the news about the botched assassination attempt on his life.
Speaking during the second service on Sunday, October 17, at the global headquarters at plot 17 Birabi Street, GRA Phase 2, Rivers State, Ibiyeomie said, a gang of five men were reportedly hired by an unnamed Pastor in the State, to kill him ( Ibiyeomie) before his 59th birthday on Thursday, October 21.
He disclosed that the plan leaked when a member of the gang escaped after his gang was attacked by another gang on their way to the State to carry out their task.
Ibiyeomie narrated that the gang member who is now assisting law enforcement agents with the investigation, revealed that they were allegedly paid to kill him (Ibiyeomie), but we’re unfortunately attacked by some daredevil gunmen, before they could accomplish their goal.
He expressed concern that the Pastor could go to unspeakable lengths to harm him, despite failing repeatedly. Ibiyeomie, however noted that such despicable acts will not go unpunished, as God will always defend the righteous.
