It was a remarkable day in the lives of the Amanyanabo and people of Abonnema, as family, community members, friends and associates of the Amanyanabo, His Majesty, King (Barr.) Disrael Gbobo Bob-Manuel, gathered to witness his investiture into the holy knighthood of Saint Christopher (KSC) of the Niger Delta Diocesan Council on Sunday 4th, 2018.
Delivering the sermon titled: ‘Wash and be clean’, The Very Rev. Richard Ibitoru Hart, enjoined them to exemplify the virtues of the teaching of Saint Paul in Ephesians 6:13 by taking upon themselves the full armour of God and stand firm to defend their faith even at the expense of their lives.
Describing the significance of their outfit, the cleric admonished them to remain unblemished and true to their calling as worthy ambassadors of Christ, noting that Knights are defenders of the Christian faith who live their lives in the full service of God.
Introducing dignitaries at the ceremony, the Bishop of the Niger Delta Diocese, His Lordship, Rt. Rev. Ralph Ebirien, who presided over the session, commended the Rivers State Governor, Chief (Barr) Nyesom Wike, represented by his deputy, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Banigo, for transforming the Mission’s school in Abonnema to a world class standard and for his numerous projects scattered across the state.
He urged members of the Church who were yet to get their Permanent Voters Cards(PVCs) to make good use of the ongoing INEC’s continuous voters registration exercise to get registered in order to be eligible to vote in credible leaders in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after his investiture, the first class traditional ruler, HM King (Barr) Disrael Gbobo Bob-Manuel, expressed gratitude to God for His grace upon him, stating that he would devote more of his time to the service of God and Humanity.
Some of those invested include: Rt. Hon. Ikuinyi Owaji Ibani; Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon.
