PORT HARCOURT, Rivers State – July 13, 2025 – An Air Peace flight arriving from Lagos experienced a runway excursion after landing at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, Rivers State, on Sunday morning. All passengers and crew aboard the aircraft were safely evacuated without any reported injuries, Africa Update reports.
The incident involved Air Peace Flight P47190. Following its landing, the aircraft reportedly veered slightly off the paved runway surface.
Confirming the event, Osifo-Whiskey Efe, spokesperson for Air Peace, released a statement reassuring the public. “Air Peace confirms that its Flight P47190, operating from Lagos to Port Harcourt this morning, had a runway excursion after landing safely at the Port Harcourt International Airport,” the statement read.
The airline emphasized the prompt and calm disembarkation of all individuals onboard. “The aircraft veered slightly off the runway without any damage. All passengers disembarked safely and calmly, and no injuries were reported,” Efe added.
