In a heart wrenching tone, Seleipiri Harry, a prominent politician from Degema Local Government Area in Rivers State, shared his ordeal with Africa Update, on how he had to sell his house and everything he owned to pay for kidney transplant
Harry, who disclosed that he is currently owing over N6million for medical services received at a hospital in Abuja, expressed dismay that leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, could abandon him to his fate despite being a committed member.
He said he was able to undergo the surgery due to financial assistance he received from Pastor Peace Ibiyeomie and Dr. Dax Alabo George Kelly.
Harry who could not control his emotions, is calling on well meaning Nigerians to donate towards his treatment, noting that the hospital has threatened to discontinue medical care if he fails to provide the needed funds.
His words: “My name is Seleipiri Harry please I need your support for my kidney transplants and surgery no one came to my aid.
“I sold all I had, my house and cars and still, the money was not enough. Fortunately, I was supported by pastor David lbiyeomie wife mama and George Kelly for my kidney transplant but I had two emergency surgeries on the day of my transplant and the hospital had no choice than to carry out the surgeries to save my life.
“I currently owe the hospital the sum of ₦6,842,000.00 for the two emergency surgeries.
