An unnamed 62-year-old Tasmanian woman has given birth to her first baby in Melbourne , making her the oldest Australian woman to give birth, according to reports on Wednesday.
The report revealed that the woman gave birth to her daughter at 34 weeks, through cesarean section.
It further stated that the woman was implanted with a donor embryo in an operation outside Australia and was supported throughout the pregnancy by her 78-year-old partner.
The mother and daughter were reportedly in stable condition.
