282 Recruit Constables pass out from Police Training School (Pictures)

On Friday, at the passing out parade of the General Duty Recruit Constables at the Police Training School Nonwa Tai, the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command, CP Zaki M. Ahmed, who represented the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris NPM mni, inspected and reviewed the Parade.

He charged the Recruit Constables to apply the time honoured ethics of the Profession and not to engage in any act that will bring dishonor and disrepute to the Police Force. He tasked them to take their job seriously and to be good Ambassadors of the School.

According to the CP, the Constables are expected to practicalize all they were taught during the Nine Months spent at the training School. The CP who read the IGP’s Address conveyed his good will Messages and thanked the President for his magnanimity in approving the Recruitment of Ten Thousand Policemen across the Country and further requested the President to approve more Recruitment to meet the target set by the united Nation.

In his Welcome Address, the Commandant of the School, ACP Elisha Yila, thanked the IGP for all the support he got during the training but decried the poor state of the School and called on relevant authorities and Stakeholders to gear up and support the Police.

High point of the event was the admission of 282 Recruit Constables to the Substantive Rank of Police Constables by the CP and presentation of different awards to deserving Constables.

In attendance at the occasion were, His Royal Majesty King G.N.K Giniwa JP Gbene-Mene Tai, represented by chief Sunday Nsane JP, Traditional Rulers from the Ogoni Kingdom, CTC Chairman of Tai LGA, Government Representatives and Senior Police Officers from the Command and many others graced the occasion.
