2019 Elections: Senate adjourns sitting

The senate has adjourned sitting till the 12th of March to enable lawmakers participate in the Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections slated for the 9th of March, 2019.

The development followed the motion moved by the Senate leader, Ahmed Lawan stating that lawmakers need to concentrate on the elections.

Meanwhile, the senate reconvened today after a recess that allowed them back to their constituencies to participate in the National elections.

Senate Presient, Dr. Bukola Saraki who lost his bid to come back however presided over today’s plenary for about 30 mins.
