Residents have asked Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka to ensure bumps are erected and the busy road expanded, as two people died when a bus collided head-on with a boda boda on Kimilili-Chwele road in Bungoma Central on Wednesday June 22.
The accident, according to report occurred in Eagles area while the driver of the bus headed to Bungoma from Chwele tried to overtake a pick-up.
The boda boda rider died at the scene and the passenger died at Bungoma county referral hospital. The bus driver escaped unhurt.
Police has however asked motorists to be cautious.
The bodies were taken to the mortuary.
