Eleven commuters in a 14-seater commercial bus, heading towards Berger by Otedola bridge in Lagos State, were burnt beyond recognition yesterday at about 6pm, when tfeir vehicle burst into flames from the impact of the somersault .
Eyewitnesses revealed that the bus had lost its brakes which caused the fatal accident.
It was gathered that 8 male and 3 female commuters died while it took the effort of officials from LASEMA’s response team, federal road safety corps, Lagos State fire service and the Nigerian Police to rescue three others who were taken to the accident and emergency unit at the toll gate hospital.
