Villagers on a remote Island of West Sulawesi, Indonesia , could not believe their eyes, when a dead man, who had gone missing on Sunday night was discovered in a python’s stomach.
According to UK Metro, the deceased, Akbar Salubiro had on Saturday night set off for his work of harvesting palm oil on the island but when he did not return, friends and relatives began to search for him.
The report said after much search, the reptile was found lying in Akbar’s garden with a giant bulge in its stomach.
Locals gathered round as one man used an 18-inch long hunting knife to slice open the serpent and the 25-year-old’s body was pulled out from the reptile’s belly.
Quoting the Village secretary, Salubiro Junaidi, the report said, “People had heard cries from the palm grove the night before Akbar was found in the snake’s stomach.
“When the snake was captured, the boots Akbar was wearing were clearly visible in the stomach of the snake. Resident cut open the belly of the snake and Akbar was lifeless.”
