Engr. Sampson Ngerebara, has expressed shock at the gruesome murder of about 15 persons at Andoni Local Government Area, in Rivers State, on January 1, 2018.
Ngerebara, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and a native of Andoni, tasked citizens to close the ranks and fight against the current spate of insecurity bedeviling the area, irrespective of party affiliations.
He called on the Rivers State Government led by Nyesom Wike, Â to urgently intervene to curb the menace.
His words: ” My concern is that we started this year on a very sad note, Andoni Local Government. Â Precisely Unyeada and Okiogbono communities, over 15 persons were killed.
“I was shocked on my way to the village on the 2nd, there were nine lifeless able body corpses on the surface of the water. As if that was not enough, last night, seven houses were burnt down in Egendem community and this is very unfortunate.
“This is the product of the seed politicians sowed in Rivers State, as a result of 2015 election. I am thereby calling on Governor Nyesom Wike, to quickly intervene.
“The Andoni case is a pathetic case and it is a shame”.
He condoled with the bereaved families.
