The 2020 Invictus Games are getting their very own theme song sung by the Duke of Sussex himself, Prince Harry. The Bon Jovi frontman revealed during an interview on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky on Wednesday that Prince Harry would be singing one of his songs for the Invictus Games.
Jon Bon Jovi and Prince Harry will be recording a song together with his 2019 song, Unbroken, for the Invictus Games which are set to take place in May. Harry and Jon are meeting up at the Abbey Road Studios to work on the track, coincidently the same day Prince Harry is attending the Invictus Games Choir event.
“I’m going to hand him a tambourine and see what he’s got going,” Jon joked with Chris Evans about the single, which will also feature the Invictus Games’ choir, said Jon.
The Invictus Games Choir event will be one of Prince Harry’s last official duties as a royal family senior member before he steps down on 31 March.
Jon’s response to Prince Harry and Meghan stepping down was rather comical.
He said the only thing that crossed his mind was what he would be calling him now because Prince is no longer his title. “I’ve been asking, ‘What do I do? How do I address him?’ “Then I realised I’m going to call him ‘
The Artist Formerly Known as Prince.’ In a move that caught many people unaware, Prince Harry and Meghan announced that they will step back as senior members of the Royal Family.
According to the couple, they will now work to become financially independent. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made this known in a statement on their official Instagram page.
