The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has beamed its light on the former Governor of Imo State, Chief Achike Udenwa, for purportedly collecting N350m from the Director of Finance, Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Senator Nenadi Usman.
According to our source, Chief Udenwa was invited to the EFCC’s office on Tuesday, where he was questioned for hours before he was released at about 9 p.m.
It was gathered that about N4bn was deposited into the account of Senator Usman from the Central Bank of Nigeria, which she allegedly disbursed to several politicians in the build-up to the 2015 presidential elections.
