World’s football governing body FIFA has through a statement, hinted of the sack of its Deputy Secretary General, Markus Kattner, with immediate effect.
FIFA said that an internal investigation uncovered breaches of his fiduciary responsibilities in connection with his employment contract.
Stating further that it would not make any comment, but would continue its cooperation with the relevant authorities.
Kattner replaced Jerome Valcke (who is currently facing a 12 year ban) as FIFA’s acting secretary general in September.
