Cultists kill policemen, steal guns in Rivers State

There seem to be a brewing storm in Diobu axis of Port Harcourt, as cultists unleash mayhem on police officers and residents.

Africa Update gathered from sources, that a police station at Mile 4 Diobu was attacked by unknown gunmen and four policemen were reportedly killed while their guns were taken away by these hoodlums, a few days ago.

In a similar attack, a patrol vehicle conveying an undisclosed number of policemen was also ambushed and the officers were allegedly killed while their guns were taken away as well.

Residents lament that despite efforts by security operatives to rid the Diobu axis of criminals, these hoodlums seem to renew their attacks on daily basis.

While robbery activities go on unabated, residents are of the view that these hoodlums might be mopping up guns ahead of the general election.

They expressed concern that if urgent actions are not taken, the Diobu axis of the state might pose serious danger to rivers people, who reside or have businesses at such locations.
