The official countdown to the battle of the comics talent show has started, with the auditioning of contestants at the office complex of Springpoint magazine, the organizer of the event.
Students were seen yesterday, in their attires, excited to be part of the comedy/talent show organized in Rivers state.
In a chat with Africa Update, the brain behind the event, Amb. Gloria Boma Harry, said, the contest is aimed at mentoring and encouraging students to develop their talents with the view to assist them earn a living with it.
She noted that the competition will hold on March 21, 2020 at the Ibani Kitchen, inside the Museum complex in Old GRA axis of Rivers state.
Harry expressed appreciation to the school authorities and parents for allowing their children participate in the contest and also commended the management of Golden Tulip Hotels Port Harcourt, OMC funeral homes, Ibani Kitchen, etravel and several others for believing in her dream to give the youths of rivers state a hope for a brighter future.
she reiterated that in an era where the chances of having a job after graduation is getting slimmer by the day, there is an urgent need for youths to develop skills that can make them self reliant.
