Muma Gee targets over 1,000 youths as Africa Talent Pool kicks off

Renowned entertainer and Nollywood actress, High Chief Muma Gift-Eke  popularly called Muma Gee, has dropped the hint that over 1,000 youths across communities from the 23 Local Government Areas in Rivers State will be groomed and their talents harnessed in the coming months, Africa Update reports.

Muma Gee stated this yesterday at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Secretariat in Port Harcourt, while unveiling the Africa Talent Pool, a project sponsored by the Muma Gee Foundation.

Chief Eke said a team of experts who will work closely with the youths have been assembled. Reiterating that the project is focused on youths aged 13 and above, who will be identified and groomed in various artistic talents and craftsmanship.

While commending the State Governor Sir Siminialayi Fubara, for emphasising his administration’s focus on human capacity development, she urged his administration to key into projects like hers to ensure greater impact and sustainability.

She also tasked members of the public to seize the opportunity the Africa Talent Pool has offered to better their lives by developing their talents to create wealth for themselves and society.

Eke described the project as being very dear to her considering her experience as someone who grew up on the streets.

She expressed appreciation to prospective partners from within and outside the country who had indicated interest to support the project and further thanked the media, especially the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.

On his part, the NUJ Chairman, Stanley Job Stanley, eulogized Eke for her laudable initiative and pledge the continuous support of the NUJ to the Africa Talent Pool.
