The ‘I Love Nigeria’ crooner, Bobby Chant has called on Bayelsans in the entertainment industry to prioritize the development of their content and art generally, in order to navigate the dynamics of the industry.
The double national awards singer, handed down the advise over the weekend in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, moments after receiving his recently bagged Trendsetters Award as the Performing Artiste of the Year.
Fifty distinguished prominent personalities in politics, business, academia, entertainment industry among others, got the prestigious Trendsetters award this year, including Rivers’ Nyesom Wike recognition as Governor of the Year.
Bobby Chant who spoke from the Hago Heights Event Centre, venue of the ceremony, insisted it was about time young entertainers in the industry rose to limelight daunting all challenges.
The Afro Pop singer, who recently dropped a new single dubbed, “Happy Birthday”, featuring Maya, a Nasarawa based artiste and popular producer, Akeem Da Beat, urged young artiste in the industry never to give up on their dreams.
According to him, there were a lot of opportunities in the industry waiting for the resilient to unlock, as he says talent was never enough to get the desired results and destination.
Bobby Chant whose real name is Amos Ongokori Ineididie, also called on government and spirited individuals’ continued support for the entertainment industry in the state to compete effectively with her contemporaries around the country and beyond.
