Rivers State University elects SUG President

A new Executive council of the Student Union Government (SUG), has emerged at the Rivers State University.

The Chief Electoral Officer of the SUG Electoral Committee and Dean of Student Affairs of the Institution, Dr. Isaac Zeb-Obibi, declared Azunwo Bestman as the elected President.

He said Bestman had 2,143 votes defeating Handsome Kinikanwo,  who score 2,010 votes,  while David Jack scored 1,281 votes.

Other officers elected into the SUG are Stella Ezuigo-  Vice president , Samuel People- Secretary,  Orji Johnson- Assistant Secretary,  Samuel Ile-  Financial Secretary, Queen Oko- Jaja-  Auditor General, Okechukwu Okpara- Director of Socials, Ogbegam Okidim- welfare Secretary, Bariye John- Public Relations officer, Ada Adeshina -Director of sports and Asu Isaac Asu – Transport and Equipment Secretary.
