The Rivers State Government has formally announced the opening of the application portal for the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, for the 2026 academic session.
In a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Dagogo S. A. Wokoma, all eligible indigenes of Rivers State are hereby notified that the registration process has commenced and is scheduled to conclude on the 30th of April, 2026.
Application Requirements and Procedure
Prospective candidates are invited to submit their applications via the official portals at www.nda.edu.ng or www.ndaapplications.net. The Government wishes to emphasise a critical prerequisite: all candidates must select the Nigerian Defence Academy as their institution of first choice during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Applicants are strongly advised to meticulously follow the instructions provided on the recruitment websites to ensure their submissions are valid and competitive.
Call for State-Wide Sensitisation
To ensure that no eligible indigene is left behind, the State Government has issued a directive to various administrative and traditional bodies. The Ministry of Education, Local Government Chairmen, and Traditional Rulers are requested to actively sensitise and encourage qualified youths within their respective jurisdictions to seize this prestigious opportunity for a career in the Nigerian Armed Forces.
The Secretary to the State Government underscored the importance of this recruitment exercise, noting that it represents a significant path for the youth of Rivers State to contribute to national security and excellence.
