Dr. Chinyere Igwe has been appointed Pro-Chancellor of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE). The news of his appointment broke on Thursday night, coming months after the previous Governing Council was dissolved. That action was taken following the declaration of a State of Emergency in Rivers State and the subsequent sacking of all political appointees, boards, and agencies previously constituted by the suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
A seasoned businessman, media mogul, and former member of the House of Representatives, Igwe is now tasked with his new role at the institution.
