Justice Adolphus Enebeli of a Rivers State High Court, has adjourned till March 20 and 27, the trial of suspects involved in the murder of a former Director of Finance, Rivers State Ministry of Health, Mr. Charles Ovum and Chief Promise Gbaali .
Justice Enebeli adjourned the matter after the cross examination of a key witness in the case and younger sister of the former director, Madam Patience Ovum, who told the court that she recognized two of the accused persons who abducted and murdered her brother.
She narrated that her brother was kidnapped at the popular and busy Rumuokwuta community during the day. The abductors according to her, wore Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) uniform armed with AK47 riffles.
The suspects were alleged to have killed the victim, Mr. Charles Ovum and Chief Gbaali despite receiving a ransom of N15million.
