More facts have emerged about the murder of a little girl at the Eliozu axis of Obio/akpor Local Government Area, in Rivers State.
Africa Update had published yesterday that a student of University of Port Harcourt, Ifeanyi Dike, had murdered his victim, Victory Chikamso, in his apartment at Eliozu.
Confirming the murder, a statement issued by the spokesman of the state police command , Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, reads, “Today, at about 0130hrs, men of the Okporo Police Station arrested one Ifeanyi Chukwu Maxwell Dike (male, 23 years) of Messiah Street, Eliozu, Port Harcourt, who yesterday (Friday) abducted one Chikamso Victory (female, eight years) of the same address.
“The little girl was abducted, defiled and killed, while her vagina, eyes, tongue and breasts were removed and put in a polythene bag.
“The suspect was going to dispose of the body, when he was arrested by a local vigilante that suspected his movement.
“After he was questioned, the suspect dropped the bag and fled. Consequently, he was given chase and arrested. On further interrogation by the police, he confessed and took the police to where the vital organs were concealed.”
Omoni added that the body and organs of the victim had since been deposited in an undisclosed mortuary, while the suspect was being held by the police for further investigation.
In his confession, the suspect, a 200-level undergraduate of the University of Port Harcourt, said he was lured into ritual killing by a man who promised to make him wealthy.
