The Police in Rivers State has arrested 7 suspects in connection with the killing of a trader at Rumuokoro market in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
The trader, Matthew John was allegedly killed and buried behind Rumuodomaya/Rumuokoro slaughter market.
Speaking after the police exhumed the body, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Akin Fakorede said investigations on the incident will continue in order to arrest those still at large.
” We’ve been able to get to the bottom of that case with the support of members of the public that has continued to support us with information and we encourage other good people to please come up with information that will assist the police in the discharge of their duties”, ACP Fakorede stated
Some of the suspects when interviewed denied any involvement in the killing of Matthew John.
