Rivers State: One killed during rescue operation

A rescue operation by security operatives in Isiokpo community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State,  has led to the death of a man identified as Lasbary Onyeami.

Reports revealed that Onyeami, was killed during exchange of gunfire when he led security operatives to the hideout of the kidnappers in a bush in Isiokpo, to rescue a pastor and his wife, who were kidnapped on their way back from church.

The operatives were however able to rescue the victims unhurt.
