Police kills three kidnappers in Choba

A notorious kidnap gang has met its Waterloo.

Briefing newsmen on the successful operation by the Rivers State Police Command,  the command’s spokesman,  Omoni Nnamdi in a statement on Friday,  revealed that three notorious kiddnapers were traced to their hideout in Choba, Rivers State, where they were killed during a fierce gun battle .

He alleged that the gang was responsible for the numerous kidnap activities around Ada George, Choba and Obiri Ikwerre axis of the state.

Nnamdi disclosed that 2 pump action riffles and 20 rounds of live cartridges  were recovered from the gang, and urged members of the public to assist the police in their hunt for a gang member, who escaped with gunshot wounds.
