The Khana Local Government Chairman is currently under arrest. He is being held at the Mile1 Police Station, following his alleged implication as one of the prime sponsors of the late Honest Degbara known as Boboski. The Council Chairman was taken from his residence under handcuffs around 4.00am this morning and taken into police custody.

Public Relations Officer of the Police, CSP Nnamdi Omoni confirmed the arrest to the Port Harcourt Telegraph. He said the police were aware of the allegations levied against the council chairman, saying crack detectives are investigating. The Rivers State Government had earlier placed a ransom of N30 million on the head of Boboski for information which would lead to his arrest. According to information, Boboski was intercepted during a wake keeping by a team of policemen and vigilante members. Boboski reportedly died while being paraded before journalists in Port Harcourt by the police.
