Oyigbo: Police arrests 18 individuals for setting 10 trucks conveying goods worth several millions ablaze

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 18 individuals who are allegedly responsible for the mayhem that occurred at Oyigbo Local Government Area.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, told newsmen that the individuals who were arrested yesterday at Oyigbo are members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, responsible for setting ten trucks ablaze.

He said the suspects would be handed over to the state CID for futher interrogation and prosecution.

Africa Update gathered from the driver of one of the trucks that some youths had waylaid them at about 3am yesterday, setting their goods worth several millions, N480,000 and handsets ablaze, in a bid to enforce the sit at home order issued by IPOB.
