The Delta state task force chairman of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), Chief Akpokevughe, has been assassinated.
The incident according to reports, occurred on Friday, August 17, along Sapele-Warri road in Delta state.

The deceased was reportedly shot about eight times in the head, in his vehicle.
