Joseph Udoh, has been sentenced to death by hanging for allegedly killing a banker in Rivers State. Delivering Judgement, on suit PHC 3436 CR/ 2017, between the state and the suspect, Justice Chiwendu Nworgu, sentenced the defendant to death by handing on his neck for killing one Pascal Nnorum
The suspect had reportedly killed Nnorum on the 13th of May 2017 along MTN link road axis of Aba road in Obio/Akpo local government area. On the fateful day, the suspect had damaged the vehicle the deceased was riding and this led to an altercation between both men. According to reports, when the deceased could not get Udoh to own up to the damage he had done to his car, he had reportedly held on to the steering wheel of the vehicle Udoh was riding and rather than settling the disagreement, Udoh had allegedly driven off, with the deceased still holding on to the steering wheel. He had dragged him to the oil mill junction, where he reportedly smashed the victim to the culvert in the middle of the road by Elelewon junction leaving onlookers speechless.
