An attempt by daredevil kidnappers was foiled yesterday , along the Ahoada East section of the East West Road. when a commercial bus belonging to Agofure transport company escaped with its occupants.
An eyewitness account revealed that the kidnappers had chased after the Agofure bus, but lost control of the lexus 350 jeep they were in and collided with another commercial bus heading towards port harcourt.
The impact of the collision led to the death of two pastors and an unidentified victim, while 14 others were rescued from the vehicle which later burst into flames.
Our source further stated that a team of policemen and youths from the community, were also chasing after the gang before the crash occurred.
The gang, according to our source had allegedly terrorized communities in Ahoada East local government , killing over 300 persons and beheading scores in recent times.
