The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of the Chairman of Okrika Local Government Area, Philemon Kingoli. Speaking to newsmen, the spokesman of the Command, Nnamdi Omoni, said efforts are ongoing to ensure the safe and timely release of the Council boss.
According to reports available to Africa Update, Kingoli, was abducted in the early hours of Wednesday, along the Peter Odili Road. The motive behind the kidnap still remains a mystery, as family and friends pray for his unconditional release.
